Is FastCapture free?

Yes, FastCapture is free to use with no ads and no account required. Core features like screen recording, screenshots, and basic export formats are available to everyone. An optional Pro plan unlocks advanced features like MP4 export, annotation tools, and extended history.

What browsers does FastCapture support?

FastCapture works on Google Chrome (from the Chrome Web Store) and Microsoft Edge (from Edge Add-ons). Other Chromium-based browsers like Brave and Opera can install it from the Chrome Web Store.

What video formats are supported?

You can record in WebM (native, fastest), MP4 (Pro, universal), or GIF (Pro, animated clips). All conversions happen locally in your browser.

What screenshot formats are available?

Screenshots can be saved as PNG (lossless), JPG (smaller file), WebP (Pro), or PDF (document format).

Can I record with my webcam?

Yes, you can add a webcam overlay (picture-in-picture) to any screen recording. Choose its size and position.

Is my data sent to any server?

No. All processing happens entirely in your browser. Your recordings and screenshots never leave your device.

Can I capture a full scrolling page?

Yes, the full-page screenshot mode automatically scrolls through the page and stitches all parts together.

What are the keyboard shortcuts?

Alt+Shift+Q toggles recording, Alt+Shift+V captures visible area, Alt+Shift+F captures full page, Alt+Shift+R captures a region.

Can I record system audio?

Yes, when recording a tab you can include system audio. For desktop recording, audio capture depends on your OS.
